Waiting...

As many of you know, we are living at my dad's house (or my dad is living with us, as I like to say :-)) and we are hoping to move before Moriah is born. We are on a waiting list for some really nice apartments in Scripps Ranch, and could receive a call at anytime. My heart's desire is to move as soon as possible, I would like to get a little settled before life changes even more with the addition of a new baby. But as WAITING lists go, its all out of our hands. We know that God is good, has a perfect plan for us, knows our desires, and knows what is best for our family. So we are in the best, toughest place to be...with no control! Honostly it is a great faith stretcher, but so hard! If you know me, you know I'm not really a fan of having no control over a situation.

It has been a blessing to be with my dad for the past year, though. We have paid off sooooo much debt (accumulated over the time since we've had Shadrach and I haven't been working). Thank you Lord! Plus it has been nice to have the extra help of my dad watching Shadrach, since this pregnancy hasn't been the easiest. Once again, we rest in the fact that God knows what's best for us!

Welcome to our world!

We need to start updating friends and family about the great things that are happening in our family! So I'm going to TRY to blog WEEKLY. You can check back here for new info about what God is doing in our lives, new things Shadrach (and soon Moriah) are doing, and anything else I feel like sharing :-).

Here's where we'll begin...

Mark is currently employed with Calvary Chapel Mira Mesa as the Jr. and Sr. High Pastor. He just finished the season coaching baseball at Mira Mesa High School, and will begin the summer of giving several private lessons each week. He also is finishing his degree in Religious Studies through Liberty University's online program. Despite all these responsibilities, he is a great husband and daddy! Our family is Mark's #1 priority!

Kristi is 29 weeks pregnant and still feeling nauseous all the time. Thank the Lord for anti-nausea meds that allow her to be active, despite the sickness! She stays at home with Shadrach, and takes care of him and household stuff. That includes lots of playing, laundry, and grocery shopping!

Shadrach is a very happy, active 2 year old. He loves to swim! He is in swimming lessons twice a week and he and Mommy attend a parent/child swim class once a week. That doesn't count the days spent at the pool just playing! Shadrach's other favorite things to do are play with his cars, sing and dance, eat, play outside, and give lots of hugs and kisses! He already loves his "be-be sista" (baby sister), and can't wait to meet her! We are very much hoping that excitement continues when she is here and taking some of the attention that used to belong to him :-).

Baby Moriah will join us in a little less than 3 months (due August 3rd)! She is very healthy and growing, and other than the nausea, not giving Mommy too much trouble. She seems to be a little less crazy than her big brother was at this stage. She does like to do flips just as Mommy is trying to go to sleep, however.

Our family is blessed beyond what we could ask or imagine. God is so good! Every day is a gift and a great adventure...and we look forward to so many more!

Love,
Kristi and family
